It is reported that the association of Turkish travel agencies (TURSAB) accused the site of unfair competition and filed a lawsuit.

According to the general secretary of TURSAB Cetin Gyurjun, people who have already made a booking through the site will not have any problems in connection with the court decision.

The ban will come into force after the court decision is sent to the relevant authorities.

It is also noted that in the framework of previous lawsuits from TURSAB Booking.com will pay an administrative fine of 2.5 million Turkish lir to the antimonopoly body of the country "for conducting activities in violation of competition rules."
